Boredom seriously kills

I finally understood what boredom really means…

I used to think that when you’re bored, it usually refers to lack of activities for you to pass time.

Welly well, you can have like a thousand and one things to do and yet you could be lazy as hell to move your ass to do anything about it.

Usually people go out if they’re bored, to me, when boredom strikes something that is once enjoyable will lose its interest,

IT THEN FEELS LIKE A CHORE ‘COS U HAVE TO THINK OF WHAT TO WEAR, HOW ARE YOU GOING THERE AND YADDA YADDA.

It’s seriously a torture. ‘Cos being bored is tiring.

Sleeping it off is not an option because you have enough energy to stay awake and yet the energy that sustain you is not enough to motivate you to do anything to kill boredom.

And the only thing that is constantly active is your mind, wondering about stuff like, “Omg I should be doing this now and that” and you’ll face mental conflict when your body has a mind of its own.

Okayyy peeps, I didn’t blog for a while now so I’m gonna recount a week plus (or more) of blogworthy stufff, so lemme impress y’all with my chronological memory from 28th July till 14th August. FWAH

29th July – I had to skip NAPFA due to a really bad cough from the past days so I took MC so that I can retake it with the guys or whenever possible (OMG MUST KEEP ON TRAINING)

30th July – The last day of class for Business & Economy (we had a final test) and the last day for World Issues as well, so I just went to class to sign attendance n then LEFT STRAIGHTAWAY, so awesome I know right. My tutor was giving out colourful stones from…errr, Columbia or California (???) I CAN’T RMB BUT I’LL SHOW U THE COLOURS I PICK FOR MY 3  ROCKS:

31st July – A MAJOR DAY FOR ME ‘cos finalllly, it’s the deadline for Behaviour Modification Assignment 1 & 2 and guess whut, I was down with feverrrrrrr, ohyesh but I can’t see the doc yet ‘cos I had to touch up on my workk so after I was done and by the time I stepped into the clinic, my temperature was 39.3 degree Celsius but I didn’t appear sick ‘cos I was so hyper. The sick thing about me is I actually like the burning sensation on my scalp while I had to focus so hard on my assignments. I rarely fall sick and when I do, I like the feeling. ;O

1st August – Still feverish & popping antibiotics on empty stomache (bad habit), I was somehow persuaded to attend my twin’s & Chris’ birthday cum farewell party at St James.

3rd August – Went to school to submit my MC + hardcopy of my BehMod 1&2 + WISP Final Reflection. DEFINITELY A BURDEN LIFTED OFF MY SHOULDER. SIGH, A CONTENTED ONE(:

5th August – With no time to sleep, I came to school at 9 am to do my final presentation  of WORKCS service learning project! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY:D

7th August – Went to Next, Holland V to trim my hair…

8th August – Went to Next at Ion Orchard to colour my hair, to even out the colour tone so that I won’t sport the typical disgusting brown-golden hair (yucks). Got my hair styled YIPPPPEEEE & got my manicure done DOUBLE YIPPPEEE. N so I was ready set go for Ian’s birthday celebration @ Emerald Hill and we chilled out at Chris’s condo after that!

ALAS IT’S 12TH AUGUST!!! A DAY FILLED WITH JOY FOR 3 REASONS:

1) Officially the last day of Sem 3.1 after we're done with Janice's e-quiz. 
Bre brought her polaroid n we took 14 photos so the girls get to keep 2 pics each

2) Florence darling was finally back from Thailand from her internship!!! GOODLORD

3) The much anticipated  once in a blue moon clubbing event
 with my CLASSMATES + COURSEMATES (99% virgin clubbers) @ Zirca, Rebel, Lunar,
 which to my surprise ain't that bad afterall &&& OHOHOHOH 
FINALLY 1st time partying with LEE LING after much planning since our Year 1!

14th August – PCS potluck + internship briefing. Even though I was late, I HAD MY FAIR SHARE OF LAUGHTER. I thought potluck would be after 😦

After I forwarded the email about bringing healthy food for the potluck, Leo actually prepared vegetarian taco or is it burito (?!???!) I DON’T KNOW THE DIFF BUT IT TASTED HEAVENLY SO TOO BAD FOR PCS HEHE.

Singapore Children Society Carnival

We had two stalls – FACE PAINTING & BALLOON SCULPTING.

Objective: To fulfill “Working with Social & Community Services” module & to raise fund for SCS (The target for each stall is $1,700, PLAINLY IMPOSSIBLE).

Location: Chinese Garden (It’s my first time there and I seriously thought we’re in China, the architecture is way too awesome, too bad we didn’t snap any shots of the building:/)

I chose this design called “Feather” & Lala, a volunteer painted it for me:D:D

The movie “Departure” is showing in Glen’s class & I’m restless ‘cos I watched it already. I got a heavy agenda today – prepare a surprise, go to National Library to do research, go gym to train for NAPFA , if possible, swim after gyming & most importantly finish my Beh Mod Assignment 2 by tonight for tmrw consultation.

I’m seriously mad happy with my buy, finally get to visit ohsofickle and I bought one GREEN BAG ($59) and one VINTAGE RING ($18). Lemme show you:

Let’s recount on what I’ve been doing lately… (still very busy!)

SATURDAY

Went to Xuan’s church with my group members to teach the kids (11-15 years old) to do balloon sculpting and face painting. I have a huge phobia of balloon bursting. It’s a horrible feeling anticipating when a balloon is gonna explode next & of course I’m in charge of face painting together with Xuan (she bought some awesome face paints & cute stencils). This is what Michelle did for me:

SUNDAY

Somehow dinner-ed at East Coast Park (ramen) & so happened there’s a car boot sale 😮 I’ve never been to one b4 and I happened to stumble upon a make-up stall! You can’t imagine how elated I was to buy a 88 colours eyeshadow pallette from Costa Sand ($35 only) and ten pairs of intense, lovely, gorgeous fake eyelashes for only $10! Usually, I only trust false eyelashies from Daiso, ‘cos the length always fits, the pre-glue stays on the whole night and it’s only  2 freaking dollars. SAY HELLO! MAD HAPPY!

MONDAY

Finally finished with Crisis Intervention role play, ACCOMPLISHED:D heyheyhey ONE DOWN!~

Went to the nearest NTUC to look for popsicles, weather is vehly vehly goddamn hott but couldn’t find so I entertained myself with an $1.80 orange rose! I ❤ colours:D

& Ohohoh, I got my Scrabble ring from Bre! Y for Yape! Everlasting childhood nickname:D Actually I wanted “P”… for pwincess HAHAHA. I’m into pwincess-sy stuff okay, I even wanted to design my own pwincess room. But I’m not into soft toys, I’m definitely masculine/manly/sporty & I DO KILL COCKROACHES ON MY OWN!

1 day left to Behaviour Mod test, 25%!, & I haven’t started 😮 😮 😮

I totally psyched myself into mugging Beh Mod and pushed myself real hard but not the hardest trust me, I stayed up all night, obviously countless time of me dozing off but I applied respondent conditioning by visualising whatever is related to my test – GPA, panic, grades, school, GPA, panic, grades, school for motivation purposes and I forced myself to open my eyes and STUDY STUDY STUDY & in the end, I was done with it at 1pm (!!!)

Whenever I’m in a crisis of completing my work/mugging, and I do fall asleep, my internal being feels so unsettled that during my naps, I dream of nothing but my classmates & school.

FREAKING BIZARRE IF U ASK ME!

That happened to me during Os. I still rmb my history book floating in my dreams and provoking me by flipping its pages in my mind’s eye.

TUESDAY

HALLELUJAH DONE WITH BEHMOD~

COFFEE MAKES ME DROWSY AND CAUSED MY HEART TO BEAT DAMN FAST DURING THE TEST!

Went to King’s Hotel for Penang buffet!!! with Leo, Ian and Chrissypoo and I hated the manager/staff there that handled our bill.

We should just walk out without paying but the food there is DELISH/HEAVENLY/SUCCULENT/YUMYUM!

According to ZW, it is completely legal not to pay for your food and cab fares if the service was bad!! HOR HOR DON’T TELL ME I NEVER TELL U! SO STEP U AND SHOW THESE BITCHES!

Went to watch HARI PUTA for the 2nd time muahahaha, am into tear-jerking scenes.

Thankgawd yesters I restrain myself to stay at home and joined family dinner so I get to have one of my most awesome local food buffet at King’s Hotel (‘cos Uncle Jason is back from London) and when we went home, I asked my guardian to prep me for my interview and help me to edit my cover letter, resume, needs analysis (her insights & wisdom is awe-inspiring!).

& of course I received two Topshop tops from my cousins in UK but it’s size US 8 (more than double my size but I shall improvise/customise  it hehe) and Abz received a pair of Doc Martens boots… that’s something, daaaaaaaaaaamn.

Highlight of the day gotta be playing Pictionary and Charades with my cuzzies & maids! WOWEE~
